COLOUR Crimson red with red brick core. NOSE A swirl of the glass reveals lifted red fruits, cherries, summer berries and plums. Varietal tones shine through, with blackberry and mulberry leaf indicative of the cabernet inclusion. Black pepper and sweet middle eastern spices provide intrigue. Well-integrated sweet oak is reminiscent of panforte and praline. Chargrilled beetroot offers a savoury counterweight, ably supported by notes or well-worn chesterfield leather. PALATE The exotic notes flow from nose to palate. Blackberry, plum and cherry provide a sweet core. Flavours from the bakery include biscotti and red velvet cake. Mocha, spice and coffee round out a soft, silken palate. Fine lacy tannins hold everything together with a long, vibrant finish
